4-40 HEX M/S NUT SMALL PATTERN ZINC

Typically a six-sided internally threaded fastener with a flat top and chamfered corners. Threads are Unified, Class 2B, UNC or UNF Series. (Also available as a four-sided, internally threaded fastener with a flat top and bottom, without chamfer. Threads are unified, Class 2B, UNC Series.)

Designed for use with machine screws. However, user interest in square machine screw nuts has declined significantly during the past several years.
