5/16-24 CASTLE NUT ZINC

A type of slotted nut. Has slots which are cut equal in length to the slot depth and slightly smaller in diameter than the hex width.

Used for general purpose fastening and locking. Just insert a cotter pin or safety wire through the slots and through the drilled shank of the fastener.
